Substitutes are essential to ensure a successful learning environment for our students, and HPCS is always looking for outstanding individuals to add to our substitute list! Learn more about working at our safe, caring, and Christ-centered campuses today.

Substitute opportunities include:

  • Teacher Assistants/Aide
  • Special Needs Assistants
  • Office Staff

As we are part of the WPCP, all of our substitute teachers are required to provide proof of a minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and/or university. Support staff substitutes are required to provide proof of a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

If you are interested in becoming a substitute with only HPCS follow these steps:

  1. Fill out this application
  2. Turn it into our school office (either in person or via email)
  3. That's it!

If you are interested in becoming a substitute with HPCS and other ICS schools, please apply here.

If you apply via ICS, you do not need to fill out a separate substitute application with HPCS, as we are an ICS school.

Substitute Pay Rates

 

New Substitute Teachers: $130.00 per day

New substitute teachers are those who have worked fifteen (15) or less teaching assignments at HPCS

Experienced Substitute Teachers: $150.00 per day

Experienced substitute teachers are those who have worked more than fifteen (15) teaching assignments at HPCS

Retired Substitutes: $180.00 per day

Those who have worked at an Impact Christian School for a minimum of ten years and are officially retired

Support Staff Substitutes: $12.50 per hour

FAQ's

No. Since we are a private school our substitute teachers are not required to hold a teaching license or substitute license. 

As we are part of the WPCP, all of our substitute teachers are required to provide proof of a minimum of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and/or university. Support staff substitutes are required to provide proof of a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.

Let us know! When you join our substitute list we will be sure to ask you what areas you are interested in substituting in. We don't ever want our substitutes to feel uncomfortable in a classroom.

Our teachers and aides will reach out to you directly via the contact information you provide us. Call, text, or email!

Day of assignments will likely be a morning phone call or text.

All of our substitutes are part of our alert system and will be notified via text alert of any school closings or cancellations. 

Yes! If school gets cancelled and you were assigned to substitute that day, you will still get paid for the scheduled amount of time you were needed at HPCS.

If assignments for teachers are less than a full day (8 hours), substitutes will be paid at an hourly rate based on the daily rate. You will be paid for the hours worked at the determined hourly rate.

  • New substitute teacher: $16.25 per hour
  • Experience substitute teacher: $18.75 per hour
  • Retired substitute teacher: $22.50 per hour
