  • Souper Bowl of Caring

It's almost time for the big game, and we're participating in our own event, the Souper Bowl of Caring. All next week, January 26-30 we'll be collecting cans of soup to be donated to a local food pantry. This is a great opportunity to teach your kids how easy it is to serve others. Watch for an informational flyer to be coming home with your student by the end of this week. Help us Tackle Hunger - join the movement that's 25 years strong.
  • Kindergarten Round-Up

Do you know a family that has a child that will be starting Kindergarten next fall? We'd love to have them check out HPCS. We'll be having a Kindergarten Round-Up on Tuesday, February 3 from 8:00-11:15 a.m. Students will meet the staff and see what a day in the life of a Kindergartener is like at HPCS. Come dressed as a cowboy or cowgirl for a fun morning!   Please contact Dale Suslick at dale@mcs-wi.com to have him reserve your spot, or your neighbor's spot today!
  • Recess and Cold Weather

Always send appropriate outside clothing to school with your children! Recess is intended to give students fresh air and an outlet for physical energy. It takes place on the playground year round and in almost all weather conditions. We believe that fresh air and a setting favorable to physical activity greatly benefit the health and work habits of our students. ALL students are expected to go outside for recess with their classmates. Exceptions will be made for medical reasons if the teacher is provided with a signed excuse from the student's physician. We live in a climate that can have extreme temperatures. During severely cold weather, the decision to go out for recess is at the discretion of the HPCS recess supervisors. As a general guideline, outdoor recess will be cancelled if the weather is -10 degrees wind chill. Therefore, assume the children will typically go outside for recess.
